TOP products for welding fumes

Which one to choose?

BC

If you have small workpieces to weld, it is advisable to use extraction benches.
The BC cartridge bench turns out to be an optimal solution for extraction of smoke directly from the work surface and also for those processes that produce large amounts of dust.
Thanks to the dual extraction, both from the work surface and from the rear panel, there is immediate protection of the work environment and the operator, as pollutants are sucked out before they can be dispersed into the air.
Once inside, the polluted air hits the protective filter housings so the heavier particles are deposited directly into the collection drawers, while the lighter particles, pass from outside to inside the cartridges where they are trapped.
Reverse jet cleaning ensures a long service life of the filter elements.

FEC

The FEC series of cartridge filters are available in different sizes, and the filter cartridges that can be used are available in various fabrics, surface treatments, and with different numbers of pleats in order to fit the customer’s needs.
Cartridge filtration is popular due to its many advantages and can be used in many contexts, always providing high efficiencies and reduced space requirements compared to bag filters.
FEC cartridge filters are suitable for the extraction and filtration of fumes and dust from various processes such as welding, grinding, metal cutting and general dust.
FECs are equipped with a plenum chamber designed to create an initially inertial separation of heavier particles, promoting longer cartridge life.
Reverse jet cleaning managed by pressure differential ensures long filter element life.
GEF has designed multiple solutions:

  • FEC N: Vertical cartridge filter for significant air flow rates. Also available in ATEX version for zone 22 3D.
  • FEC NV: Vertical cartridge filter equipped with integrated exhaust fan in soundproof box. Also available in ATEX version for zone 22 3D.

In the case of centralized systems with several extraction spots consisting of several capturing elements, an extraction line is made that is connected to a single cartridge filter with associated fan and single expulsion line.
The control panel associated with the filter can be equipped with an inverter and VSD that control extraction according to the amount of extraction points used, enabling optimization of energy consumption.
