The GEF WATER FILTER (GWF) is our water filter used to purify the air in the working environment after surface treatment.
The principal purification element is the water, which eliminates the danger of fire.
In fact, the filter is suitable for sanding and grinding operations and applications that handle metals and thus create sparks.
The polluted air enters at the top of the filter, where, thanks to the pre-chamber, the coarse pollutants precipitate towards the water collection tank, extinguishing any sparks.
A second and more effective washing is carried out in the central part of the tank where the air flow to be purified undergoes simultaneous centrifugation and washing.
Finally, the air flow is subjected to ‘drying’ by passing the flow through inertial droplet separators.
The filter is designed to be ready-to-use and very easy to handle.
The float, which is fully electric, sends signals to the control panel according to its position: at the first control level it opens the water control solenoid valve until the correct level is reached. At the second control level, if the level is not reached or is too low, the control panel receives the information to switch off the fan, thus preventing dust from passing through without being filtered out due to the low water level.
It is also complete with a fan placed inside a soundproof box and an electrical panel complete with inverter for fully automatic management of the dust collector.
Maintenance of the filter, an important element in all filter machines, must be carried out periodically depending on the workload. Access to the inside of the filter is facilitated by large water- and sludge-tight doors welded to the structure. These doors guarantee water tightness even with frequent openings compared to bolted seals, and given the ease of intervention, it is very simple and quick to carry out cleaning operations for the best possible operation of the water filter over time.
Depending on the workload, it is possible to install a dredging conveyor at the base of the water filter, which will automatically empty the filter tank, taking the sludge that accumulates during processing outside the filter.
